Covid-19 Emergency Food Supply

With tourism having come to a global halt and markets closed the Maasai were deprived of their income and no longer able to buy food.

Being in constant contact with Daniel we learned quickly about their day to day challenges and launched a COVID-19 Emergency Food Supply program for the village Kiranto’s Sunshine Academy is located in.

Friends of Skills4Change supported around 40 families with food donations from March 2020 to April 2021. A few families needed help until end of 2021. We also sent one-time deliveries to several other communities in the Mara area.

The trucks mainly brought maize, beans, flour, cabbage and cooking oil.

We are happy that we can declare this project completed.
